I was getting real tired of switching between levels. I mean, two load screens between each area? No thanks. After a lot of work, and a long rendering process, the map I teased over a week ago is finally here! No more switching levels, no more getting interrupted by mission briefings, just core Robo Recall at its finest.

Old Town and City Center connect via their main roads, and Rooftop Recall kind of makes a triangle out of the three maps, so all the area inside that triangle is basically new. The map is HUGE, and it spawns bots EVERYWHERE, so framerates can get sort of low. Your mileage may vary, but things should be better now that Lighting has been rebuilt, prompting this V1.0 release. 
HighresScreenshot00008.png  HighresScreenshot00009.png  The real reason I made this map was I wanted more space to fly around with the Iron Man Mod, and I think this is more than a good enough solution to that problem. That being said, extra collision and platforms have been added so that Teleport-Only players can still make it from the streets to the roofs in Rooftop Recall. In addition, the collision and meshes, especially around the outskirts of Rooftop Recall, might not be perfect. MOST of the map should be finished, but Rooftop Recall has a lot of merged buildings that are a pain to edit. Still though, this map should be a ton of fun!

Changelog for V3.4 (1/12/20)

-Added looping random objectives THAT ACTUALLY WORK! One after another, the game will spawn either a Recall, Collect or Defend objective, at one of THIRTY random places! After completing one objective, it'll spawn one of the other two, so it'll never give you the same mission twice in a row! Completing an objective successfully rewards the player 200,000 points, and increases the difficulty by one level! (Recall 5 more bots, Collect 5 more bots, etc.)
Because the map is so huge, I've added a red beacon to every Collection point or RoboRelay, to make it easier for the player to find.

Initially, only Bipeds, Crawlers and Drones will spawn to fight the player, but as the difficulty increases, other bots will join into the fray! The keyboard toggles are still there though, so if the player wants to edit the bots they fight they still can.

-Fixed the random spawn point system! The player now also spawns at one of the thirty random locations!

-Optimized the hell out of the map, should result in a MASSIVE performance increase!

--Press a button on your keyboard to toggle the respective bots from spawning! Confirmation Text will appear on the player's left hand. This allows the player to only fight the bots they want to!

F: Fast Bots
N: Normal (Biped) Bots
O: Odin
R: Rocket Bots

As such, Fast Bots are back in Survival, but are disabled by default. The player will have to enable their spawning.
--Rewrote the startup script to be far more fluent and less buggy. Remember that the player can still toggle Roguelike Mode by pressing space during the startup sequence!

Dude, you have done it! This is absolutely incredible dude! I cannot wait to jump into this one and fly around! what an excellent idea, making a giant survival map out of the 3 levels! So excited! That means lots of enemies for our weapon mods to tear through, ack I just can't wait!

Blew out my CPU cooler last night, otherwise I'd have already released V2 of this map. V2 fixes ALL navigation, sets the enemies to only spawn within 200 meters of the player, and lets the player toggle enemy types' spawning with the keyboard! Expect the new version next week!

have you learned how to make bullet-buttons yet? I think it'd be nice to have those in the levels to toggle enemies rather than having to use the keyboard (I often use bullet buttons in my training levels to spawn enemies with, toggle music, stuff like that. ^^

bullet button code.png here it is. Essentially, when the level first starts, I have 3D cubes with collision enabled sitting in the scene with different name depending on what I want to do with them (this cube, Metro-Drone, spawns the drone class enemy when hit). I think tell it to bind an event to when this item is hit, rename the event, and then I cast to BaseBullet (which lets me detect when I shoot the cube with a pistol) and it that cast succeeds I then spawn an AI from the Class I want (in this case drone) and I get an enemy spawn point location (just an empty in the scene) to spawn them at. Of course, you could also adjust this to add your wave spawner code if you wanted. ^^

That's a great idea, and I'll probably add some interactive stuff in the map with this, but the problem I see is that these actors have to stay in a certain place in the world, and I want the player to be able to change spawn values anywhere. Plus, the keyboard thing works when the game is paused! Still, it's only temporary until we finally get widgets working. ðŸ˜… I've had the 2D widget for enemy selection complete for a while now, but I could never get it to work in 3D space...
