(Due to a small editor issue, the mod has now been renamed to Flight Module. All future versions of Iron Man Flight will now be posted here, under this new name.)

Introduction

Fly through the world of Robo Recall, level up, and torch robots to your heart's content!
Version 6 of IronManFlight is here, and it brings with it a HUGE host of new changes, including a new name! From here on out, the IronManFlightMod will be renamed to simply the Flight Module! I figured with how huge this mod is getting it needed a proper writeup here, and perhaps a rebranding was in order as well. Now, with that out of the way, let's get on to the general description, then the full controls list, the level up guide, then finally the changelog.

General Description
What started out as a bootleg flight mod is now so much more, allowing the player to fly with independent hand thrusters, hold themselves in place in midair, force and damage enemies with their hand jets, fire Repulsor Beams and Wrist Lasers, and even level up and get stronger as their score increases! More changes and additions will come over time, but for now this is meant to be an all-encompassing player mod, complete with the magnificent @Firestorm185's Smooth Locomotion.

Full Controls List:
Y/B: Each hand's corresponding thruster. Hold the button and pull the grip to jet fire out of your hand and force yourself in the fire's direction (And even enemies in the opposite direction!)
X: Air Brakes. Hitting this button immediately stops the player. Completely. Midair, on foot, doesn't matter, the player should stay put while holding the Air Brakes. Great for forcing away enemies or changing direction and momentum quickly!
A: Jump/Upward Thruster. Classic, on foot jump. Pressing the button vaults the player into the air, useful for leading into flight, or air braking after to hover over enemies! Pressing the button again wile in midair acts as an upward thruster from your boots, rocketing you upward!
Left Stick: Move Player. As expected from the Smooth locomotion mod, the left stick moves the player around the world, simulating walking or running.
Right Stick: Turn Camera/Teleport. Depending on settings, this stick has three functions. It can either turn the player 45 degrees at a time via Snap Turning, smoothly rotate the player through Smooth Turning, or can act as it does in vanilla and let the player teleport through the world.
Click Left Stick: Slow Motion (After Unlock)/Reset Orientation. Sets the entire game to 20% speed for 10 seconds, and requires 20 seconds to recharge. With Version 11.1, Pressing The left stick while the right stick is also held reset's the player's orientation, to quickly get back on your feet after flipping.
Pull Trigger Without Gripping: Fire Repulsor. Fires a repulsor beam from the corresponding hand's palm. Damage should pierce most robots. Damage gets upgraded at levels 6 and 9.
Pull Trigger with Empty Fist: Wrist Laser(After Unlock) Fires a powerful Wrist Laser from your fist. piercing all enemies. Lasts for 2 seconds, and needs a one minute cooldown. Lasers are independent, so one could alternate hand lasers every 30 seconds, for example. Cooldown is reduced to 30 seconds at level 9, and lasers go fully unlimited at level 10.

Movement Toggles:
Click the Right stick while holding it in one of 5 positions
Up:Turn Mode
Down:Flight Mode
Left: Flip Toggle
Right: Rotation Toggle
Neutral: Stick Turn/Teleport

Level Up Guide: (Requirements and Bonuses)

Changelog for V6
-Added flight rotation! Turn your wrists to turn left or right while flying!
-Flight rotation Toggle! Click both sticks in midair, this will disable and enable the new spin feature.
-Added a simple level up system! As the player's score increases, they can level up and strengthen their abilities, including thruster power, max health, movement speed and more!
-New Heads Up Display! Text now appears notifying the player of key events, like level up, toggling smooth/snap turning, and more!
-Rotation and thruster force should now work even with Air Brakes held, allowing the player to blast robots away while staying in place.
-Added two jet particles below the player's Damage Capsule when using air brakes
-Added a spark particle effect when the player's jets are damaging entities.

Changelog for V7.0
-Flip Physics! Aim your controllers perfectly up or down to flip backwards and forwards! If this isn't your thing, it can still be disabled with the rotation toggle.
-Along with the flip mechanics, the jump button now also resets the player's orientation, to quickly get back on your feet!
-Fixed Flight rotation for Superman Flight! Everything should make sense and move in the right direction now, for the spin and flip in superman mode.
-New Death handler! The game now goes slowmo, the player falls, a text notification appears, it shows your final score and the camera fades out before restarting the level! Makes the whole thing feel a lot less janky, and the restart load screen is no loner nauseating.
-Air Brakes should no longer drift the player downward, and gradually stop the player instead of stopping abruptly! Much smoother and more natural. Behavior that was requested since the Air Brakes were first added!
-Moved the heads up display and text notifications closer to the player camera, to avoid world collision issues.
-Removed Level Complete at 50 Million Points. It's supposed to be infinite survival, it defeated the purpose.
-Fixed several bugs, particularly with the sound system and rotation deadzones.

Changelog for V8.5.2
-Cranked up the version number to properly reflect which version of the entire mod this is. I had to rename it again in the editor, looks like this'll be a regular thing...
-Fixed the UI, should actually be pinned to the player's head now. Level Up details and switch details should now be properly displayed on the player's screen.
-The name has been changed from Flight Module to just Flight Mod, so please be sure to delete old versions first.
-Should fully include all of the previous changes from the previous V7.0. This is mostly a bug fix, so anything that wasn't working before should be fixed. Please let me know if anything is still broken!

Changelog for V8.6
Another big bugfix update, but with some cool features!
--Relocated all toggles to the Keyboard. Stick clicks are to be used for more player movement inputs, so I've moved the toggles (Turn Mode, Flight Mode, Etc.) to the keyboard, since players probably won't be toggling these options too much.
New controls are as follows:
*Teleport/Turn Toggle: Z
*Smooth/Snap Turn Toggle: X
*Flight Mode Toggle: C
*Rotation Lock: V
*Flip Lock: B
--Toggles can be adjusted while the game is paused.
--Flip Lock has been added. Rotation and Flip from flight can now be enabled and disabled independently, for the player's comfort/convenience.
--Added Slow Motion button - At level 4, (500,000 points) the player unlocks a Slow motion button, by clicking the left stick. Lasts for 10 seconds, and has a 20 second cooldown. Passing Level 8 (7,000,000) will double the Slo Mo time.
--Added blue aura around camera during Slo Mo.
--Player can no longer move around during mission intro.
--Made the UI Text light emissive, so it should be way easier to read.

Changelog for V9.0
--Finally added repulsors! About time, only promised it 4 months ago. Pull the trigger when you're not holding a weapon or making a fist to fire a repulsor beam from either hand! Based on the drone's beam, it's damage gets upgraded at levels 6 and 9. Targeting is still a little off, I have to fix that, but it's complete with sound effects and everything!

Changelog for V10.1
--Wrist Lasers! After hitting Level 5, each hand now has Iron Man's Wrist lasers, based on the BigBot laser! while not holding anything, make a fist and pull the trigger to fire the laser for 5 seconds! Each hand takes a minute to recharge, and they both work independently. You could alternate hands every 30 seconds, for example. At level 9, the cooldown for the lasers is cut in half, and at level 10 things really get crazy!
--Pressing Enter during the intro cinematic will now fast track the player to Level 10, at the request of @Nickumtoo225 .
--Conversely, pressing backspace during the intro cinematic will cancel leveling entirely, leaving the player at level 1 permanently.
--Turn/Teleport toggle has been re-relocated back to the right stick click. Teleporting MIGHT still be broken, let me know. Could be this mod, could be the SurvivalTriPack, not sure yet.

I SERIOUSLY Recommend everyone try this version out. The wrist lasers are INCREDIBLE!

Changelog for V11.1
--NEW FLIGHT SYSTEM - USES GRIP PERCENTAGE! Now, when you hold the B or Y buttons, begin pulling the grip slowly to influence thruster power! this allows for MUCH more granular controls. In addition to this, you can no longer grab guns or items, or fire repulsors when firing hand thrusters, but this makes more sense anyway.
--Added Upward Thrust to jumping! Now, after jumping, press and hold the button again to activate your boot thrusters, launching you upward!
--Finally Fixed teleporting! Turns out I had turned on collision for the hand in testing, and it was colliding with the teleport beam! Should be all fixed now.
--The toggles have been redone once more! This system should make everyone happy. Now, clicking the right stick serves as all 5 toggles, depending on which direction you're holding the stick! Much easier to access in VR, and doesn't eat up all the buttons!
Final Toggle Layout:
Up:Turn Mode
Down:Flight Mode
Left: Flip Toggle
Right: Rotation Toggle
Neutral: Stick Turn/Teleport
--Reset Orientation is now done by clicking the left stick while the right stick is clicked, kind of like a 6th toggle.
--Added a hard mode! Pressing the \ key during the intro makes the level requirements much higher! Level 2 is at 100K, level 3 is at 500K, and every level from there takes twice as many as the last!
--Nerfed the Wrist Lasers a bit, setting their On time to two seconds instead of five. More like the movies, and less OP.
--Slightly increased the width of the repulsor beam damage, should hit more bots easily. Also made the beams themselves smaller, again to look more realistic.
--New sound system, should be far more stable and less spotty. Also allows for the jet sound volume to be adjusted based on the Thruster Grip amount!
--New leveling system! Mostly backend cleanup, but should increase framerates a bit, and level up abilities should kick in right away!
--As always, several bug fixes and performance improvements.

Changelog for V11.6:
--Fixed Big Bot control! The player should once again be able to teleport to and possess Big Bots, as in the original game.
--Added Roguelike Mode to the core mod! Hit the space bar to prevent holsters from refreshing!
--Fixed left hand texture. That was annoying.
--Made wrist lasers smaller, and added new texture!
--Super tightened up repulsor aiming, should be far better now

Addendum:
So there it is, V6 of IronManFlight. Or, V1 of the Flight Module, rather. Regardless, this release took a bit longer than expected, for two key reasons, the first was the implementation of the rotation mechanics in flight. Admittedly, they're still a little buggy, but that took a while to get off the ground. After that was working, I got that dumb editor bug that keeps it from exporting new versions. After a renaming and refactoring of the mod, I added the leveling system I was working on in the meantime since I felt I needed to justify the long gap between releases here.

As always, the mod is heavily inspired by community feedback, and I strongly encourage everyone to try out the mod and let me know what you think, how it can improve, and what you want added! That's all I've got for today, hopefully this will be enough to tide everyone over until my next release! Enjoy, agents!

Incredible work! I’m sure the flight module will continue to improve over time but I am so excited to jump in here and try all this out! I’ll write something a little more coherent after playing around with it XD

ok, so there's a bit of a bug in the mod right now. If you use both hand jets at all the game totally crashes instantly. OoO  Might be because it's trying to turn the character with both hands at once? Not sure.

I can safely say I have not experienced that bug... played around for a while last night and never had any crashes. However I did not really look down too often so maybe that’s why it didn’t happen?

In my testing, turning with both hands should just turn the player faster, which was intended. A complete game crash is also something I haven't experienced, so it might have something to do with your installation...

Normally if it's a big crash I never hear of it until someone else play tests it either, has happened with several other mods. I'll check and see if some code is intersecting with some other installs though, just to make sure.

I have only ever used the mod when it was the only one enabled, maybe combining it with other mods is causing the crash?

well, could still be the two hands, as you haven't tried it yet, but really there's no way to know as of yet.

I have officially used the two hands at the same time looking down for quite a while and never had the game crash, no issues as of yet.... as Hydraxonn said I simply turn faster using both hands at the same time so not sure...🤔

hmmm. might be because I still have the old mod installed? Let me check some stuff and report back.

Nope, scratch that, didn't have it installed. interesting. Maybe it's another mod used in tandem with it...

I've used it with several other mods, like the Z-Saber, the Covenant Thermal, SurvivalTriPack and such. Maybe it's your actual game installation...
